PLEASE PRAY FOR NATHAN!

It’s been three months now since Nathan’s stroke on Monday, December 12^th, 2011. All of the professionals have referred to it as a “major” or “huge” stroke, which damaged much of the left side of Nathan’s brain. Yet they all have been amazed and very impressed with Nathan’s recovery so far. Nathan spent three weeks in ICU at Albany Medical Center and then one month at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, New York.  Nathan has now been home since January 30^th and is doing outpatient therapy in Glens Falls three times a week. The dynamic of his therapy has slowed a bit with doing three instead of six times a week like at Sunnyview, but we continue to work with Nathan at home and of course just being able to “be” at home and operate from here is therapy for all of us!

On Friday, March 30th, Nathan will have surgery to replace his left bone plate (the left part of his skull which he has been missing since the day after his stroke). Thank you so much for praying for a safe and smooth surgery as well as a quick and healthy recovery!

Nathan’s Mom Nedra is here with Beth, assisting and encouraging as Nathan and Beth and Family adjust to being home together. His Dad Doug has returned home but will be returning at the time of the surgery to assist. God has abundantly provided for his being here through some dear families in the church there in Wrangell.

The outpouring of love and concern has been moving.  There have been so many calls and folks trying to communicate their support.
